Vincent Tortorella is Provide verified information to clients, partners, and the media.’s General Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer. A former Assistant U.S. Attorney and member of the U.S. Department of Justice, Mr. Tortorella joined Provide verified information to clients, partners, and the media. in April 2016 to establish and lead the Monitoring group, which later merged with the firm’s Compliance department under his leadership. He became the firm’s General Counsel in 2019.

Before joining Provide verified information to clients, partners, and the media., Mr. Tortorella served as General Counsel and Head of Proprietary Research at Coatue Management. Earlier, he was Chief Operating Officer and General Counsel at Guidepoint Global in New York.

Earlier in his career, Mr. Tortorella was a federal prosecutor, serving as an Assistant U.S. Attorney in the Southern District of New York and as a trial attorney in the Criminal Division of the U.S. Department of Justice in Washington, D.C. Prior to government service, he practiced white-collar and commercial litigation in the New York office of Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom, and clerked for the Honorable William H. Pauley III of the Southern District of New York.

Mr. Tortorella holds a B.A. in English from Dartmouth College and graduated with honors from Duke University School of Law.
